Gardener's Garden
I had the great pleasure to work with an avid gardener with respect to this garden design. She needed some help with the “bones” of the garden. She had the right plants for the right places but needed some help bringing it all together. There was also a new garage that needed to be built in the backyard; together with some old trees that had come down and a rickety old fence that needed to be replaced that kick started the whole design process. We had some lovely old trees and rhododendrons to work with and to incorporate into the design. I always try to keep and work with any existing trees and shrubs as it is hard to buy maturity. These pictures were taken 3 years after installation.
Front Yard Before:

Driveway needs paving and there are a lot of hard lines that need to be softened

A path to the front door needs to be designed

The gate needs to be replaced and the garden beds need to look complete
Front Yard After:

A nice lush front garden that softens up all of the hard lines of the house

A new path was created together with a garden bed to soften the lines between driveway and path

Lots of interest with colour, texture and flowers has been created

The new gate was painted black which creates a fabulous back drop for the blooming rhododendrons

A quiet moment in the garden
Back Yard Before:

The fence needs replacing and room needs to be created for new garage

Just look at that old fence!

You can see where some of the old trees had been removed
Back Yard After:

A patio was built in front of the new garage

We created a garden bed to soften up the side of the new garage

Doesn’t that black fence look great?!

A beautiful Japanese maple that we moved in order to save
