Large Outdoor Living Space
I had the privilege to design both the front and the
back of this garden. The front garden was kept to a perimeter
garden so the owners’ 3 young boys would have a large lawn
to play on. I also had the advantage of a wonderful backdrop
offered by the Capilano Golf Course and Grouse Mountain to “borrow”
from. The back garden was established as a low maintenance
garden but with lots of colour provided by foliage and flowers.
The owners already had a wonderful outdoor fireplace installed on
their patio which extended their outdoor living space. From
the high viewpoint created at the top of the back slope there is
a fabulous view of Grouse Mountain. These photos were taken
one year after installation.
